08.01.2009 - 13:45 - Bashiok ist wieder voll in seinem Element, und spricht am offiziellen Forum wieder häufiger mit den Fans. Es wurde bereits einmal gefragt, ob Diablo 3 DX10 nutzen wird. Bashioks Antwort lautete damals: Nein.

Auch diesmal gab er folgende Antwort:

"We’re not currently using any specific DirectX 10 features in Diablo III. That could potentially change of course, but if it did we don’t have any plans to then require DirectX 10 to play the game."

Wir nutzen derzeit keine spezifischen DirectX 10 Features in Diablo III. Das könnte sich natürlich ändern, aber wir haben keine Pläne dazu, dass es DirectX 10 zwingend zum spielen erfordert.

Auch auf die Frage, wieviele Einflüße von WoW in Diablo 3 stecken werden, hat er Auskunft parat.

Bashiok:
"Wow… well you’re obviously very excited.
Uhm, well out of all the things you said I guess I could probably talk about the icons. All of the Diablo III UI and icons are created by the Diablo III team, mainly our UI designer Mike Nicholson. We’re not taking any art from other games, it’s all created for Diablo III. It should also be noted that everything seen thus far should be considered placeholder, a lot of the UI has already changed fairly significantly."

Ich denke du sprichst über die Icons. Das komplette Diablo III UI wurde vom Diablo III Team erschaffen, hauptsächlich von unserem UI Designer Mike Nicholson. Wir nehmen nichts von anderen Spielen, alles wurde für Diablo III gemacht. Es sollte zudem angemerkt werden, dass alles was man derzeit sieht Platzhalter sind, ein Großteil des UI hat sich teils signifikant verändert.

Viele Spekulationen darüber, was noch verändert werden könnte, und das dieses UI das wir kennen noch nicht final ist, haben sich damit also bestätigt.
